How we work
Principles
Work in the gap
We assist communities not adequately served by large-scale traditional governmental and non-governmental organizations, who are often limited by bureaucratic and political constraints.
Build partnerships
We build long-term relationships with local indigenous health providers and community leaders that enable us to develop in-depth understanding, long-term perspective, and mutual trust that are vital for lasting impact.
Sustainable
We emphasize the development of skills, knowledge, and local resources that are essential to build capacity and self-sufficiency.
Volunteer
We are primarily a volunteer organization, and have no office, vehicles, or other bulky infrastructure to support. 100% of donations are used to fund direct program costs.
